2022 Application period will start on February 1, 2022 and end on March 15, 2022.  You may start working on your profiles at any time.

There are 4 steps to apply for a scholarship:

Attention, all high school Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen in the Redwood Area  School District, start building your online profile now. Track your activities, grow your profile and discover how you can earn scholarships - all in one place. Update your profile throughout your high school career and beyond. To apply for scholarships in your senior year, you must have set up and built your profile. Seniors then apply for scholarships online using their profile in the spring of their senior year.

1. Read the Directions Carefully.

2. Create a Profile by clicking the RED login button below. You will receive an email with instructions to set your password. This can be done during your freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year. Hint: DO NOT USE your Redwood Valley High School Email Address. Use an address you regularly use.

3. Build your Profile. You will complete information in the following areas:

  • Basic and Additional Information
  • School  and potential College Information
  • Academic Information
  • Activities, Employment and Awards
  • Essays
  • Reference
  • Helpful tip:  If you are a senior in high school, you are not a high school graduate during this application.  Highest level of education completed is some high school.  You are a high school senior not a high school graduate for the application purpose.

4. Apply for Scholarships: After February 1, 2022 current seniors who have completed an online profile should search for scholarships to be matched to potential scholarships and seniors then click Apply to finish their application. SENIORS MUST APPLY FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS BY MARCH 15, 2022 AT 11:59PM.

ALL Dollars for Scholars scholarships will be competitive. Make sure you complete your profile on time and accurately to create the best possible chance of winning a scholarship. Incomplete profiles will NOT be eligible for scholarships!

Students who apply for a Redwood Area Dollars for Scholars scholarship do not have to provide an ACT score or financial information as we do not use them to score scholarships.  If you wish to be considered for other national scholarships you may wish to include that information as they may require it.  Current college students are encouraged to apply for scholarships available through our chapter.  We have one scholarship for a 3rd or 4th year student who is a music education major and a PEO scholarship for a 3rd or 4th year female student.   Students who will be entering their second year of college next fall are encouraged to apply for 6 second year scholarships available.  We have a scholarship for $2500 for a student who will be a junior and $2500 for a student who will be a senior whose major is one of the following: elementary education, special education, physical education or early childhood education. We have a $1,000 scholarship for an education major who will be a sophomore, junior or senior in college.  We also have a $1,000 scholarship for a student who will be a junior or senior in college majoring in early childhood education or elementary education.  We have scholarships available for students who are in college and are nursing majors.  We have a $1,000 scholarship for a college student who is majoring in horticulture or Natural Resources and Conservation.    College students must update their profile including education information,  college transcripts etc.  This year you do not need a new reference.  There is a short essay question that takes the place of the reference.  The system may not match you to scholarships if all your information is not current.
